*The Book of Esther*
King Ahasuerus is a king prominent in this Hebrew number. It's all about the king.
He was the one who quietly expressed the need of his wife's presence and participation to help him in offering hospitality to a group that had responded to his banquet invitation.
But his wife, Vashti, declined .. refusing to obey the king's request.
However .. when Esther became the king's second wife .. the Word of God emphasizes her obedience .. as she takes the initiative to invite the king to dinner .. demonstrating her willingness to be in the presence of her husband and king .. inviting him to dinner .. revealing how much she valued their relationship .. which ultimately brought them together to expose the evil plot of Haman .. as they worked together to protect God's people.
In this account .. symbolically two types of "wives"/"Brides" come forth:
...Queen Vashti .. who thought only of herself so did not see the need of becoming a part of the king's life and agenda.
...and Queen Esther, who sought out the king to participate in exposing Haman's evil plan and saving the lives of her people .. knowing that as king .. he was the only one who had the power and authority to help those who had no help.
When we consider the symbolism found in the attitudes and devotion of these two "wives" we might see some similarities coming forth also in the New Testament comparing the positions and attitudes of the two types .. or groups .. claiming to be the "Bride of King Jesus" today .. as one not qualifying because of the desire to have only the benefits of the relationship .. while not willing to join the King's agenda .. which requires diligently following His Word and leaving one's own desires and way of life to join the King's agenda .. helping those who have no help .. and serving the "Bread of Life" to those He is calling to His great end time .. rapture banquet.

In the Old Testament Esther gave up everything .. resking her own life and position to help others.
In the New Testament we also see in G325 a long list of rewards found in planting and reaping as we draw closer to our King .. Leader .. Commander .. joining Him in ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of others .. especially those of the household of God/Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
