Doctrines of Death

They shall
put you out
of the synagogues:
yea,
the time cometh,
that whosoever
killeth you
will think
that he
doeth God service.
-John 16:2

Our Lord. Jesus Christ "came to bring life ... and that more abundantly" ... so the Word of God tells us in John 10:10.

... Yet ... throughout history the devil's agents have glorified death in so-called "christian" circles

... with phrases such as ... "Praise the Lord ... the poor man is now in a better place" ...  etc.

Perhaps "the poor man" is better off dead ... because there was no one to comfort him ... tend his wounds ... or ... help in areas where he could not help himself ... so God took him out of his misery"... because no obedient professing Christian could be found.

... leaving this type of thinking one step away from euthanasia in the heart ... a type of murder ... wishing someone was dead ... in an attempt to release the Holy Spirit's pressure to exercise compassion and take the part of the Good Samaritan.

Another example ...

..."Don't worry about anything ... God will take care of it"... method of alleviating any Godly feelings of responsibility toward our fellow man

... or... our daily obligations of life ... re-labeling our lack of responsibility "trusting God to take care of it."

Remember the story of the man in a flood ... trapped on top of the roof of his house ... waiting to be rescued ... but drowned ... because he ... rejected the neighbor's offer to drive him out of the danger zone ... rejected the man in the boat ... and rejected the helicopter

... assuring all those who offered to help ... that God, Himself, would rescue him ... when all were sent by God to get him out and save his life?

This is an excellent example of a person who was deceived by this type of false doctrine

... which promotes the idea that we should not look for help from fellow believers ... but only look for miracles directly from God (or the system of this world ... i.e.="god") to provide assistance

... a most comfortable and monetarily profitable doctrine in which to abide ... indeed.😊

..."Just cast all your care upon God ... praying for you, Brother ... see you later"

...words uttered by the same ones who question and reprove those in trouble because "they must be experiencing hard times as a result of some hidden sin they have no doubt committed."

(btw...take care not to appeal to the biblical account of righteous Job

... Who do you think you are to do that ... anyway ... comparing yourself to Job?? ... thinking you are righteous??)

However ... is this what the Word of God really teaches?

[See previous post: "Bread..Tasting & Tempting]

History provides a most fitting example of this type of false doctrine ... if left unchecked ... can ... and will be ... carried to the extreme

... all we need to do is study Foxes' Book of Martyrs ... to see how twisted human thinking can justify the torture and death of countless Christians in the name of "helping them have a better resurrection"

... introducing the false notion that if God's Word says suffering can reap spiritual benefits ... then withholding compassion and help

... (even assisting in the suffering process)

... is really helping God in perfecting a person ... whose hard times must only prove that he is in need of chastening any way.

"A time will come when they will kill you and think they do God a favor."

It's time to repent of hard hearts ... and pray for compassionate hearts

... Jesus is coming very soon ... let us not be left behind because we have not loved our brother ... for Jesus tells us that those who do not love ... according to His definition ... are not genuine Christians at all.

Many will think they belong to Him ... but when He comes ... He will tell them that He does not even know them

... This is the reason there will be "weeping and gnashing of teeth."
