Genesis 3:22:
"And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of *life* and eat, and *live* for ever:..."
Twenty-two verses in the Old Testament give us God's priorities regarding what it means "to live".."to have life."
The very first verse in the Bible that is numbered H2425 draws our attention to the important topic of "life and living" and is found in Genesis 3:22 -- a chapter number (#3) that describes the triune nature of God: Father..Son..Holy Spirit, as well as providing emphasis on the number "2"-- a number that strongly represents what it means to "live" in the context of "life and death" .. and comes with a warning that this "separation" that is coming involves the answer to the most important question in "life".
In other Words .. in the very first Book God writes, He prioritizes the subject of the entire Bible with an introduction that concerns the most important decision we will ever be required to make .. "Where will I *live* eternally?"
In the Hebrew we discover God's intention when He offers the gift of eternal "life".

However .. there is another side to eternal "life" .. another choice we can make .. a choice that becomes our choice .. even when we refuse to make a choice .. causing it to become our choice by refusal to participate.
In other words .. when we refuse eternal "life".. the only other option is eternal death .. a "living death".. because when we leave this earth .. we were created to "live" somewhere else forever.

= describes a covert murderous evil intent residing in planet Earth that intends to destroy the *life* of Israel, God's people at that time.
(33:20)
= God is Holy .. so Holy that no human being can see His face and *live*.
[Leviticus]
(18:5)
= Those who keep God's Word will *live*.
[Numbers]
(21:8+9)
= *Live* and be saved from death.
[Deuteronomy]
(4:42)
= Those who take the *life* of another receive *death* penalty.
(5:24)
= God *lives* and talks to man.
(18:4-5)
= If someone accidentally causes a *death* of another person .. the *death* penalty does not apply.
(1 Samuel 20:31)
= Men in authority such as wicked king Saul, will often commit murder to preserve their position in *life*.
(Nehamiah 6:11)
= Wicked people conspire to take the *lives* of others.
(Ezekiel 18)
= There are crimes that destroy *lives* of others that require *death* penalty.
(Ezekiel 20)
= God desires to preserve *life* and has given a list to do this .. but those who rebel against God's will .. will be destroyed.
Our Father calls us to be *worthy*.. according to His definition.
John the Baptist first baptized with water symbolizing the Water of the Word that brings us to repentance .. turning from going our own way .. to instead .. follow Christ.
Then Jesus bestows a mighty power found in the baptism of the Holy Spirit providing supernatural power and ability to do His will in carrying out the work He has called each of us to do.
This is a supernatural fire (used 18 times in N.T.) that has power described as "lightning" [G4442] that purifies .. but also compared to "asbestos" because it cannot be quenched.

In this study built on the numbers found in today's date .. we are reminded of the most important thing in the history of the world .. that is .. the eternal choice we have been placed here to make and consider where we will spend our eternal *LIFE*.
