While our Heavenly Father desires that we "seek peace and pursue it" (Ps.34:14) .. there are times when it becomes necessary to spiritually *contend* for the faith .. or physically *contend* and defend the innocent.
In either case during our lifetime it will become necessary to prepare to *contend*.

This Scripture was given under this number .. but at first doesn't seem to relate when we consider "disclose".. but to "disclose" in this Scripture means to reveal something that dwells in "darkness" causing pain .. in its context referring to physical darkness .. perhaps as a result of a major event causing thick dark pollution in end times such as a volcanic eruption .. which can also be related to "spiritual darkness".

The Hebrew and Greek come together giving a picture of physical and spiritual warfare.
In the Hebrew we are reminded that life at times .. will involve us in the great conflict between good and evil .. while we "seek peace and pursue it".. the wicked come to "steal .. kill .. and destroy."
As we consider these Hebrew Words .. we discover that *contending* involves physically and verbally striving .. understanding God's Law .. and instructions regarding physically and verbally taking a legal case before God.
In the Greek .. striving involves exposing evil .. making wicked secrets known .. to teach and provide protection by shedding light on the darkness to preserve a straight path for ourselves and others .. lest the devil should "devour".
Our goal is to continue in God's Word .. and for His glory .. to "remind".. "recall .. and "remember" all that He has taught us in His Word so it can be successfully applied to real life situations.
In this way .. we can "abide".."sojourn".. and "continue" to "survive".. "live".. as we "wait for" His return.
