   The Hebrew number 87 introduces God's definition of a "father".. our "Heavenly Father".. and our "earthly father".
   In this long list of descriptions of these characteristics .. God Himself brings forth in His own numbers .. and biblically connected numbers .. some interesting conclusions regarding the nature of our Heavenly Father and how He has defined the characteristics of our earthly father .. as they are similar .. and how they are very different regarding respect .. honor .. position .. and function.
   However .. considering all the honor and respect due .. in reality .. our earthly father .. because of human weaknesses .. we expect should not to be treated as "a god".
   The authority of human fathers must remain under the superior Authority of our Heavenly Father .. serving as an example in the human family .. of how to conduct behavior that is in submission to God's higher Authority .. contrary to some beliefs that the human father is to be treated as God's representative on earth .. instead of an example to the family of how we all are to submit to the preeminence of Almighty God.
   The reverence earthly fathers may demand .. as a "lesser god".. is to usurp authority that does not belong to humans.
   Therefore earthly fathers must take care to obviously submit to the Authority of God and His Word and live out God's expectation that an earthly father will provide an example to the family of what Godly love and care really is.

(Mark 11:22-23)

"And
Jesus answering
saith unto them,
Have faith in God.
23
For verily
I say unto you,
That whosoever
shall say
unto this mountain,
Be thou removed,
and
be thou cast
into the sea;
and
shall not doubt
in his heart,
but shall believe
that those things
which he saith
shall come to pass;
he shall have
whatsoever he saith."

   Father Abraham is still that "father of nations" that serves as an excellent example of one who longed to be a father into the time of his old age .. when God had to fulfill His promise of giving Abraham a son .. and it was Abraham's example .. by his "faith" and submission to the Word of God .. even to the point of trusting God with the life of Abraham's only son .. that gave this yielded man the ability and honor of being called "the father of nations".
   The number 87 comes together in the Hebrew and the Greek to show us that our Heavenly Father and earthly father share the same callings as *fathers*  to reveal how *faith* can provide everything we need if we just follow the directions given to us through God's valuable Words and living examples.
