... Rapture Worthy
To be "worthy" of Rapture ... one must qualify according to the Word of God ... and the first qualification is to successfully become genuinely born-again of the Spirit of God ... as detailed in the Scriptures ... which connects our relationship with Christ ... to being counted "worthy" to escape.
To be "worthy" of Rapture ... one must qualify according to the Word of God ... and the first qualification is to successfully become genuinely born-again of the Spirit of God ... as detailed in the Scriptures ... which connects our relationship with Christ ... to being counted "worthy" to escape.
At the end of this post ... directions can be found regarding steps to being genuinely "born-again."
The following verses will also provide Scriptural evidence of a genuine relationship with Christ ... by which we can compare our own personal relationship with Christ ... to determine worthiness and evaluate ... Rapture readiness.
Entering a genuine relationship with Christ involves a prayer... but also requires ... more than simply saying a prayer.
... Word Makes Worthy ...
8
The centurion answered and said,
The centurion answered and said,
Lord, I am not worthy
that thou shouldest come
under my roof:
but speak the word only,
and
my servant shall be healed.
The centurion was bringing his need to Jesus ... he was seeking healing for his servant ... while humbly
acknowledging that he knew he was really "not worthy" ... to receive anything from Jesus.
The centurion's need of being counted "worthy" to receive something from Jesus ... can also be applied to any need we may have ... including our need to escape the time of God's wrath poured out upon the world ... in end times.
The means and conditions
of qualifying ... are equally applicable as well.
In this case ... as in every case ... we are directed to the Word of God as the source of power required to fulfill any request ... through the
principle found in this centurion's example.
But let us not forget the condition by which our request must be presented:
... Authority of Christ ...
9
"For I am a man
"For I am a man
under authority,
having soldiers under me:
and
I say to this man, Go,
and
he goeth;
and
to another, Come,
and
he cometh;
and
to my servant,
Do this,
and
he doeth it.
(Matt.8:8-9)
What a wise centurion!
He recognized his need of submition to the "Authority" of Christ before he could be "counted worthy."
Submitting to the "Authority" of Jesus Christ ... is in fact ... the first step to becoming a real Christian ... for He is the Word of God ... and the Word tells us that we must "believe on" Jesus Christ and this Word to be saved.
Contrary to popular opinion ... more than simply saying a prayer ... is required ... for salvation and the blessing of being able to escape God's wrath.
This account of the centurion requesting physical healing for his servant ... is actually God's example ... of addressing any type of need ... physical ... spiritual ... or even the need of escaping the wrath to come ... by first being "born-again."
Therefore ... He tells us ... "ye must be born-again" ... placing oneself under the protective "Authority" of Christ ... in order to enter God's Kingdom (Jn.3:7)
Thus ... entering God's Kingdom ... by being born-again and submitting to the "Authority" of Christ ... is the first step to becoming "worthy" ... before any request can be granted ... including escaping the wrath to come.
... Laborers are Worthy ...
... Laborers are Worthy ...
9
"Provide neither gold,
"Provide neither gold,
nor silver, nor brass
in your purses,
10
Nor scrip for your journey,
10
Nor scrip for your journey,
neither two coats,
neither shoes, nor yet staves:
for the workman is worthy
of his meat."
(Matt.10:9-10)
(Matt.10:9-10)
Our own self-determined works are not able to save us in any way ... however ... the "workman" is considered "worthy" ... if the "workman" is genuinely born-again ... under the "Authorty" of Christ ... and being led by the Spirit of God
... all providing evidence of being counted "worthy" ... "of his meat" ... "meat" = [G5160 = "wages" ... "reward"]
... so in this case ... "rapture" = "reward" ... for also being a "worthy workman."
... Separated from the Un-worthy ...
... Separated from the Un-worthy ...
12
"And when ye come
"And when ye come
into an house, salute it.
13
And if the house be worthy,
13
And if the house be worthy,
let your peace come upon it:
but if it be not worthy,
let your peace return to you.
14
And
14
And
whosoever shall not receive you,
nor hear your words,
when ye depart
out of that house or city,
shake off the dust of your feet."
(Matt.10:12-14)
(Matt.10:12-14)
The "unworthy" are those who refuse to hear the Word of God ... and we are commanded ... to shake even their dust from our feet ... as we separate from them.
... Un-worthy Priorities ...
... Un-worthy Priorities ...
37
"He that loveth
"He that loveth
father or mother
more than me
is not worthy of me:
and
he that loveth
son or daughter
more than me
is not worthy of me.
38
And
38
And
he that taketh not his cross,
and
followeth after me,
is not worthy of me."
(Matt.37-38)
(Matt.37-38)
Those not worthy:
1..Those who love parents more than Christ
2..Those who love children more than Christ
3..Those not willing to deny self/suffer for the cause of Christ
In other words ... while Jesus commands us to love and care for our family ... we are not permitted to let them have more influence in our life than Christ and His Word.
... Un-worthy Rejectors...

"The kingdom of heaven
"The kingdom of heaven
is like unto a certain king,
which made a marriage
for his son,
3
And
And
sent forth his servants
to call them that were
bidden to the wedding:
and
they would not come.
4
Again, he sent forth
Again, he sent forth
other servants, saying,
Tell them which are bidden,
Behold, I have prepared
my dinner: my oxen
and
my fatlings are killed,
and
all things are ready:
come unto the marriage.
5
But they made light of it,
5
But they made light of it,
and went their ways,
one to his farm,
another to his merchandise:
6
And
6
And
the remnant took his servants,
and
entreated them spitefully,
and
slew them.
7
But
7
But
when the king heard thereof,
he was wroth:
and
he sent forth his armies,
and
destroyed those murderers
and
burned up their city.
8
Then saith he to his servants,
Then saith he to his servants,
The wedding is ready,
but they which were bidden
were not worthy."
(Matt.22:2-8)
(Matt.22:2-8)
The Word of God pictures the Rapture as a marriage and wedding but those invited:
1..would not come.
2..didn't think it was important.
3..were occupied with their own worldly endeavors.
4..attacked and murdered the ones who told them about the invitation.
... Worthy Evidence ...
7
"Then said he to the multitude
that came forth
to be baptized of him,
O generation of vipers,
who hath warned you to flee
from the wrath to come?
8
Bring forth therefore
Bring forth therefore
fruits worthy of repentance,
and
begin not to say
within yourselves,
We have Abraham
to our father:
for I say unto you,
That God is able
of these stones
to raise up children
unto Abraham.
(Luke 3:8)
"Fruit" is defined as "something produced from a living organism."
When we are genuinely born-again ... we will produce something from that new life in Christ that will qualify as evidence of "repentance"
... "fruits worthy of repentance"... that testify to the existence of that new life ... evidence qualifying us as "worthy" to escape the wrath of God.
... Worthy Qualifies Escape ...

"And
25
"And
there shall be signs in the sun,
and
in the moon,
and
in the stars;
and
upon the earth distress of nations,
with perplexity;
the sea and the waves roaring;
26
Men's hearts failing them for fear,
Men's hearts failing them for fear,
and
for looking after those things
which are coming on the earth:
for the powers of heaven
shall be shaken.
27
And then
27
And then
shall they see the Son of man
coming in a cloud with power
and great glory.
28
And
28
And
when these things
begin to come to pass,
then look up,
and
lift up your heads;
for your redemption
draweth nigh.
29
And
29
And
he spake to them a parable;
Behold the fig tree,
and all the trees;
30
When they now shoot forth,
30
When they now shoot forth,
ye see and know
of your own selves
that summer is now nigh at hand.
31
So likewise ye,
31
So likewise ye,
when ye see these things
come to pass, know ye
that the kingdom of God
is nigh at hand.
32
Verily I say unto you,
Verily I say unto you,
This generation
shall not pass away,
till all be fulfilled.
33
Heaven and earth
33
Heaven and earth
shall pass away:
but my words
shall not pass away.
34
And take heed to yourselves,
34
And take heed to yourselves,
lest at any time
your hearts be overcharged
with surfeiting,
and drunkenness,
and cares of this life,
and so that day
come upon you unawares.
35
For as a snare
35
For as a snare
shall it come on all them
that dwell on the face
of the whole earth.
36
Watch ye therefore,
36
Watch ye therefore,
and
pray always,
that ye may be
accounted worthy
to escape all these things
that shall come to pass,
and
to stand before the Son of man."
(Luke 21:25)
(Luke 21:25)
Jesus' Words found in the Gospel of Luke provide an excellent description of the time frame of the Rapture ... reminding us to "watch" when we see these things "begin"to come to pass ... pay attention ... be ready ... so we qualify as "worthy to escape."
... Walk Worthy ...
"I therefore,
"I therefore,
the prisoner of the Lord,
beseech you that
ye walk worthy
of the vocation
wherewith ye are called..."
(Eph.4:1)
(Eph.4:1)
The "vocation" [G2821] refers to our position in Christ ... to which we are called to "walk worthy" ... for those that "walk worthy" ... are "worthy" ... therefore ... "worthy to escape" as mentioned in the following verses also found here:
"That ye might walk worthy
"That ye might walk worthy
of the Lord unto all pleasing,
being fruitful
in every good work,
and
increasing in
the knowledge of God..."
(Col.1:10)
(Col.1:10)
Again we see that being "fruitful" in the work to which the Holy Spirit leads us ... qualifies our "worthiness."
"That ye would
"That ye would
walk worthy of God,
who hath called you
unto his kingdom and glory."
(1 Thess.2:12)
(1 Thess.2:12)
God has called us to His eternal kingdom for the express purpose of "walking worthy" of all He has offered us ... including being "worthy" to escape His wrath.
... Evidence Counted Worthy ...
3
"We are bound to thank God
3
"We are bound to thank God
always for you, brethren,
as it is meet,
because
that your faith
groweth exceedingly,
and
the charity
of every one of you all
toward each other aboundeth;
4
So that we ourselves glory in you
So that we ourselves glory in you
in the churches of God
for your patience and faith
in all your persecutions
and
tribulations that ye endure:
5
Which is a manifest token
5
Which is a manifest token
[G1730 = "concretely"
obvious evidence]
of the righteous judgment
of God,
that ye may be
counted worthy
of the kingdom of God,
for which ye also suffer:
Obvious evidence of being counted worthy to escape the wrath of God includes:
1..faith that is growing
2..love for the brethren that is abounding
3..demonstrating enduring patience and faith in all persecution and troubles
... God's Coming Vindication ...
6
Seeing it is a righteous thing
Seeing it is a righteous thing
with God
to recompense tribulation
to them that trouble you;
[pay back .. trouble the wicked.. suffer in the Great Tribulation]
7
And to you who are troubled
And to you who are troubled
rest with us,
when the Lord Jesus
shall be revealed
from heaven
[at time of Rapture]
with his mighty angels,
8
In flaming fire taking vengeance
8
In flaming fire taking vengeance
[not Raptured..Great Tribulation..and Wrath]
on them that know not God,
and that obey not the gospel
of our Lord Jesus Christ:
9
Who shall be punished
Who shall be punished
with everlasting destruction
from the presence of the Lord,
and
from the glory of his power;
10
When he shall come
10
When he shall come
to be glorified in his saints,
[at Rapture]
and to be admired
in all them that believe
(because our testimony
among you was believed)
in that day.
11
Wherefore
11
Wherefore
also we pray always for you,
that our God would
count you worthy
of this calling,
and
fulfil all the good pleasure
of his goodness,
and
the work of faith with power:
12
That the name
12
That the name
of our Lord Jesus Christ
may be glorified in you,
and ye in him,
according to the grace
of our God
and
the Lord Jesus Christ."
(2 Thess.1:3-12)
(2 Thess.1:3-12)
... The Worthy Watch ...
3
"Remember therefore how
"Remember therefore how
thou hast received and heard,
and
hold fast, and repent.
If therefore
thou shalt not watch,
I will come on thee as a thief,
and
thou shalt not know
what hour
I will come upon thee.
... The Worthy Overcome ...
4
Thou hast a few names
Thou hast a few names
even in Sardis
which have not
defiled their garments;
and they shall
walk with me in white:
for they are worthy.
5
He that overcometh,
He that overcometh,
the same shall be
clothed in white raiment;
and
I will not blot out his name
out of the book of life,
but I will confess his name
before my Father,
and before his angels.
With God's help ... the "worthy" "overcome" (the world ... flesh .. and the devil).
... The Worthy Listen ...
6
He that hath an ear,
He that hath an ear,
let him hear
what the Spirit saith
unto the churches."
(Rev.3:3-6)
(Rev.3:3-6)
