But he [Jesus] answered and said,

It is written,

Man shall not live

by bread alone,

but by every word

that proceedeth out

of the mouth of God.

Our Creator has told us that we have been designed to eat two types of "food"--physical bread and spiritual "bread" (i.e. Word of God), therefore, we can only conclude that those who do not feed on the Word of God are only half alive.  They are in fact, the walking dead, regardless how religious they may appear to be.  (This means personally feeding on the Word daily, as opposed to waiting for someone else to read us the Word, to preach the Word to us, or interpret the Word for us).
