Alpha and Omega...Beginning of the End

Daniel Highlights
   ... End Times:

Daniel's Vision

Daniel 12:

"And at that time
shall Michael
stand up,
the great prince
which standeth
for the children
of thy people:
and
there shall be
a time of trouble,
such as
never was
since there was
a nation
even to
that same time:
and
at that time
thy people
shall be delivered,
every one
that shall be found
written in the book."
-Dan.12:1

"At that time"... At the time of the End ... we will recognize that it is the beginning of the End

... because it will be the beginning of "a time of trouble"

... like never before ... in the history of the world

... just as Jesus described in Matthew 24 and Luke 21

...when He told us to "look up"... when we "begin" to see all of these things starting to happen ... at the very same time.

This is the time when the people ... that genuinely belong to Christ ... will be "delivered"... [H4422] ... slip away ... escape ... be raptured out of this world

...everyone whose name has been "written in the Book of Life"

... the "Overcomers"... all that have not had their name "blotted out" of the Book of Life:

"He that overcometh,
the same
shall be clothed
in white raiment;
and
I will not
blot out his name
out of the book of life,
but I will confess
his name
before my Father,
and
before his angels."
-Rev.3:5

Some names that once appeared in God's Book of Life ... will remain.

However ... some will be blotted out.

This all depends on "overcoming"

... and overcoming depends on ... whether we have faithfully yielded to the leading of the Holy Spirit ... and invested the time we have been given ... to saturate our mind ... heart ... and life with the Word of God

...faithfully receiving His grace ... wisdom and power ... being provided with the ability ... by the indwelling Holy Spirit ... to spiritually grow ... mature ... and overcome.

To whom much time is given ... much will be required ... and to whom little time is given ... little will be required.

"And many of them
that sleep
in the dust
of the earth
shall awake,
some
to everlasting life,
and some
to shame
and
everlasting contempt."
-Dan.12:2

Also ... at the time of the End ... many people that have died ... will rise from their graves.

... God's people will rise to everlasting life ... and others to everlasting contempt ... [H1860] ... God's disgust and rejection.

"And they
that be wise
shall shine
as the brightness
of the firmament;
and
they that turn many 

to righteousness
as the stars
for ever and ever."
-Dan.12:3

On the other hand ... the "wise"... wise in following the Word of God ... ("Wise Virgins" of Matthew 25) ... will shine.

These are the ones that have become wise ... as a result ... of their personal time invested in the Word of God ... and have been busy sharing the Light of the Word of God

... leading others to Christ.

... These are the ones who will live forever.

Wisdom comes from the Word of God ... (See Psalms and Proverbs).

"But thou, O Daniel,
shut up the words,
and seal the book,
even to the time
of the end:
many shall run
to and fro,
and
knowledge
shall be increased."
--Dan.12:4

Then the angel tells Daniel to "shut up the words ... seal the Book"... until End Times ... when: 

1.. knowledge
2.. generational
     .. interpretation
3.. revelation

... will be available as a result of:

1.. signs in future events
2.. new technology

... which will bring further understanding to define the details of the visions of Daniel

... and John ...

John's Vision:
"The Time is at Hand"

"The Revelation
of Jesus Christ,
which God
gave unto him,
to shew
unto his servants
things which must shortly 
come to pass;
and
he sent
and
signified it
by his angel 

unto his servant
John: ..."
-Revelation 1:1

The "beloved" Apostle ... John ... is the one Jesus chose to reveal the things which must shortly come to pass ... (relative to the entire preceding time of history).

So He sent an angel to make these remaining future events known to John.

"...Who bare record 

of the word of God, 

and
of the testimony
of Jesus Christ,
and
of all things
that he saw."
-Rev.1:2

John is the one ... who according to the will of God ... is called to record ... in the Word of God ... everything God is showing him.

"Blessed is he
that readeth,
and
they that hear
the words
of this prophecy,
and
keep those things
which are
written therein:
for the time
is at hand."
-Rev.1:3

There is a very valuable blessing waiting for those who read ... hear ... and keep/follow ... the Words that are written in this prophecy

... a blessing which is vital ... considering the soon appearing of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

"John to
the seven churches
which are in Asia:
Grace be unto you,
and peace,
from him which is,
and
which was,
and
which is to come;
and
from the seven Spirits
which are
before his throne; ..."
-Rev.1:4

Through the pen of John ... Jesus also addresses the seven churches residing in Asia

... and in the Spirit of the Word of God ... provides instruction to every Christian throughout the relatively short amount of time remaining.

"...And from
Jesus Christ,
who is
the faithful witness,
and
the first begotten
of the dead, 
and
the prince
of the kings 

of the earth.
Unto him
that loved us,
and
washed us
from our sins 

in his own blood, ..."
-Rev.1:5

The Book of Revelation is being penned by John ... from the very Words of Jesus Christ ... as He dictates this letter to John.

This critical information is coming to us from Jesus ... Himself ... the One who is forever faithful

... the first to be raised from the dead

... the Preeminent King above all earthly kings

... the One who loved us

... and washed us from our sins ... in His own blood.

"...And hath made us 

kings and priests
unto God
and
his Father;
to him be
glory and dominion
for ever and ever.
Amen."

It is Jesus Christ that makes us kings and priests unto our Father which art in Heaven

... for the purpose of proclaiming His glory and dominion for ever.

"Behold,
he cometh
with clouds;
and
every eye
shall see him,
and
they also
which pierced him:
and
all kindreds
of the earth
shall wail
because of him.
Even so, Amen."
-Rev.1:7

Alpha and Omega

The Beginning

and

the End

"I am
Alpha and Omega,
the beginning
and
the ending,
saith the Lord, 

which is,
and
which was,
and
which is
to come,
the Almighty."
-Rev.1:8

. . . Jesus is coming . . .

"I John,
who also
am your brother, 

and
companion
in tribulation, 

and
in the kingdom 

and
patience
of Jesus Christ, 

was in the isle
that is called Patmos, 

for the word of God, 

and
for the testimony 

of Jesus Christ."
-Rev.1:9

This is the very reason the Apostle ... John ... is writing the Book of Revelation.

Because John belongs to Jesus ... and has been testifying to the Word of God ... and his relationship with Christ

... he has been imprisoned on this island of Patmos.

Because of his love for Jesus ... John has willingly given up his life for the cause of Christ ... so we ... his brethren ... might share in the knowledge of God's Revelation regarding the soon return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

"I was in the Spirit
on the Lord's day,
and
heard behind me
a great voice,
as of a trumpet, ..."
-Rev.1:10

John was communing with God on the Lord's day ... when suddenly ...f rom behind ... he heard a great Voice ... like the sound of a trumpet

...a Voice just like the Voice we will hear the moment Jesus calls genuine believers ..."the Bride"... to "Come up!" (Rev.4.)

"...Saying, I am
Alpha
and
Omega,
the first
and
the last:
and,
What thou seest,
write in a book."
-Rev.1:11

Jesus introduces Himself to John ... and us ... as "Alpha and Omega"

... then describes the amazing events that will soon come upon the earth.

This will be a time like no other time in the history of mankind!

Mutually Agreed Destruction

Introduction:

... Peter and John were at the temple and Peter was about to heal a lame man ... begging for money at the gate.  

... Before healing this man ... Peter assured him that he was going to give him something more valuable than money ... more precious than even "gold or silver"

... establishing the fact ... in the context of this entire account in the Book of Acts

... that spiritual life ... and being healed by the Word and power of Christ

... is of eternally greater value than any amount of money. 

... So we might conclude that the following account regarding Ananias and Sapphira ... found also in this context ... may likely follow the pattern established

... possibly addressing something even more significant than just a greedy desire for money. 

... The preaching of Peter and John "grieved" [G1278] = offended .. upset ... the religious leaders ... so they put them both in prison.

... But as a result of this persecution ... the Word was received and approximately 5,000 were saved ... because 

"... all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Rom.8:28)

... However ... after Peter and John were threatened by their religious accusers .. incarcerators

... they were ultimately compelled to release them ... because of lack of evidence

... finally admitting that these two men had really ... done nothing wrong.

... So the Brethren rejoiced ... offering unified praises to God for delivering Peter and John from their enemies

... and petitioning God to continue granting them the freedom to speak His Word.

"And when
they had prayed,
the place was shaken
where they were assembled together;
and
they were all filled
with the Holy Ghost,
and
they spake
the word of God
with boldness.

And
the multitude
of them that believed
were of one heart
and
of one soul:
neither said any of them that ought
of the things
which he possessed
was his own;
but they had
all things common."
-Acts 41:32

God responds to their prayer by pouring out His Spirit upon them.

As a result of this outpouring of the Spirit ... the hearts of the Brethren are greatly affected

... creating a unique type of unity ... further demonstrating that their love for Christ ... and one another

... was again ... of greater value to them than money ... or anything else they possessed. 

However... while there is godly unity

... evil unity also exists

... proving that unity 

... is not always a good thing:

"But a certain man
named Ananias,
with Sapphira his wife,
sold a possession,

And kept back
part of the price,
his wife also
being privy to it,
and brought
a certain part, 
and laid it
at the apostles' feet."
-Acts 5:1-2

However ... we are told that while believers were assembled ... they were in one accord and "they had all things common"

... BUT ... after Ananias and Sapphira sold their property and the money was actually in their hands 

... something changed.

At that point ... their hearts ... were no longer in harmony with the Spirit of Christ ... and Spirit-filled brethren

... the two of them now created their own unity ... outside of the will of the Spirit of God

... and this newly created self-centered unity ... birthed in their hearts a mutual desire ... to fulfill God's will their own way

... which was ultimately going to cost them their physical ... as well as ... eternal ... lives.

Each first re-established self as the god of their life ... then united

... mutually agreeing to give one another permission to rebel against their initial agreement with the Spirit of God.  

"For it is impossible
for those who
were once enlightened,
and have tasted
of the heavenly gift,
and were made
partakers of
the Holy Ghost,

And
have tasted the good
word of God,
and
the powers
of the world
to come,

If they shall
fall away,
to renew them again
unto repentance;
seeing they crucify
to themselves
the Son of God afresh,
and put him
to an open shame."
-Heb.6:4-5

In this way ... Ananias and Sapphira ... were not only:

(1) rebelling against the Holy Spirit themselves
 ... but ...
(2) were usurping the position of God over one another ... by helping one another to justify their presumptuously perceived "right to sin" in this way

... which was quickly evidenced by the continued mutual sin ... of lying to Peter when questioned ... regarding the amount of money ... they were actually contributing.

"But Peter said,
Ananias,
why hath Satan
filled thine heart
to lie
to the Holy Ghost,
and
to keep back part
of the price
of the land?

Whiles it remained,
was it not thine own?
and
after it was sold,
was it not
in thine own power?
why hast thou
conceived this thing
in thine heart?
thou hast not lied
unto men,
but unto God."
-Acts 5:3-4

Ananias and Sapphira had no reason to lie about the money.

They could have gone to Peter and the Church and requested to reserve a portion.

As Peter had said ... it was their money ... to do with as they pleased ... But then ... they would have had to admit ... that they really did not trust God to supply all of their needs

... so ... perhaps pride was the first thing that motivated them to change their course in life

... and leave the narrow road ... in favor of the broad road to destruction.

"And Ananias
hearing these words
fell down,
and gave up
the ghost:
and
great fear
came on all them
that heard
these things.

And
the young men arose, 
wound him up,
and
carried him out,
and
buried him.

And it was about
the space of
three hours after,
when his wife,
not knowing
what was done,
came in.

And Peter answered
unto her,
Tell me whether
ye sold the land 
for so much?
And she said,
Yea, for so much.

Then Peter
said unto her, 

How is it
that ye have
agreed together 
to tempt the Spirit
of the Lord?
behold,
the feet of them
which have
buried thy husband
are at the door,
and
shall carry thee out.

Then fell she down straightway at his feet,
and
yielded up the ghost:
and
the young men
came in,
and
found her dead,
and,
carrying her forth,
buried her
by her husband."
-Acts 5:5-10

... Like the seed of the Word of God that fell on bad ground ... Ananias and Sapphira let thorns grow up to choke the gift God desired to give them

... an eternal gift ... way more valuable than gold or silver:

"And
that which fell
among thorns
are they, which, when
they have heard,
go forth,
and
are choked with cares and riches
and
pleasures of this life,
and
bring no fruit
to perfection." 
-Luke 8:14

They die because they:

(1) lied to God/Holy Spirit.

(2) lacked trust in God's Word/promise to provide every need

... so they went back to making the things of the world their god

...trusting money/riches to supply their needs.

(3) protected their self-sufficient ... mutual ... commitment to preserve appearances/pride. 

"And
great fear came upon
all the church,
and
upon as many
as heard these things."
-Acts 5:11

Like the early Church ... this account given by Luke should instill the fear of God

... reminding us to consider the consequences

... of the many ways professing christians today ... take the matter of obedience to the Word of God too lightly

... and then encourage others to unite with them so they can ... in a unified effort ... continue assuring one another not to worry about offending God by sinning

... saying  that God does not expect obedience ... because we are under "grace"..."No one is perfect" ..."everyone sins everyday all of the time"

... taking giant steps backwards ... away from ... cultivating and nurturing a genuine relationship with Christ

... instead of yielding to the perfecting process of God ... by seeking power and wisdom from the Word of God

... to overcome ... grow ... and mature according to His well-documented intention found everywhere in His Word

... thus taking us right back to the de-volving process ... which the devil introduced in the beginning in the Garden of Eden  

... questioning whether complete respect for and obedience to God's Word ... as the Preeminent Priority in our life ... is really required:

"Now the serpent was more subtil than
any beast of the field
which the LORD God
had made.
And he said
unto the woman,
Yea, hath God said,
Ye shall not eat
of every tree
of the garden?"

And
when the woman
saw that the tree
was good for food,
and
that it was pleasant
to the eyes,
and
a tree to be desired
to make one wise,
she took
of the fruit thereof,
and did eat,
and gave also unto
her husband with her;
and he did eat."

-Gen.3:1+6

... And they spiritually died.

This passage
from
Genesis above
 is the first picture 
God provides
in His Word,

warning about the
"Evil Unity"
of
Adam and Eve
that led to their
 "Mutually
Agreed
Destruction"

...and...
Below we see
the last, End Time, picture showing
the results
of 
"Evil Unity"
ultimately leading 
all of mankind 
...to...

Mutually Agreed Destruction

Asking ...

"How did we end up here??"

Friends. . .

... Please do not be deceived.

... Do not find unity with those who do not have a high enough regard for Christ and His Word to make them obviously Preeminent in their lives.

... Many presuming they are going to be saved from the wrath and judgment to come, will actually be left behind.

... Your physical life, as well as your precious eternal life, is at stake.

... The hour is late.

... Now is the time to evaluate whether we actually have a genuine, saving, relationship with Jesus Christ

... according to all He has written in His Word ... to define what this really means.

... Be sure.

Healing the Blind. . .Eyes to See

"And
as Jesus passed by, 

he saw a man
which was blind 

from his birth.

And
his disciples
asked him, saying, 

Master,
who did sin,
this man, 

or his parents, 

that he was
born blind?

Jesus answered, 

Neither hath
this man sinned, 

nor his parents: 

but that
the works of God 

should be
made manifest
in him. 
-John 9:1-3

Jesus comes upon a blind man ... a man that has been blind from birth.

The disciples with Him are curious ... assuming that the man must be cursed with blindness

... as a result of some sin he or his parents have committed

... so they ask Jesus who is to blame for this affliction.

Jesus verifies that the man's blind condition is not a curse resulting from sin

... but has occurred for the purpose of revealing how God works ... to bring forth His message of salvation and healing to those who live in spiritual darkness.

Into the Future. . .

"I must work
the works of him
that sent me,

while it is day: 

the night cometh,

when no man
can work."
-John 9:4

Could this be a clue ... that this healing also carries a prophetic message?

Jesus is telling His disciples ... and us ... that just as His time to do the works of the Father is limited ... so a time will come in the future ...in end times

... when spiritual darkness will ... once again ... become so great upon the earth

... that it will ... once again ... be impossible for His servants ... at that time ... to do any works of the Father either.

"As long as
I am
in the world,

I am
the light
of the world."
-John 9:5

As long as Jesus/Holy Spirit is in the world ... the Light/Truth of Christ will be in the world.

As long as genuine believers ... the Bride of Christ ... indwelt by the Spirit of Christ ... is in the world

... the restraining Light of Truth ... will also be in the world.

The night ... spiritual darkness ... will come ... just before the Bride is removed

... validated by the Parable of the 10 Virgins ... when the 5 foolish virgins discover that they do not have enough oil to find their way ... through the end time darkness ... to meet the Groom /Jesus ... at His appearing.

Jesus' Method of Healing:

Just as seeing with our physical eyes ... depends on the light being properly utilized ... by the physical eye

... seeing spiritual Truth ...  also depends on the Light being properly utilized by our spiritual eyes

...so we can see/recognize that Jesus is the Light ... the Spirit of God

... that has come into the world to forgive our sin by the power of His shed Blood at the cross

... and has promised eternal life with Him ... in the new home He is preparing ... in His Father's House

... for all who receive His gift of salvation ... are spiritually healed ... and follow Him.

"When he
had thus spoken, 

he spat on the ground, 

and
made clay
of the spittle, 

and
he anointed
the eyes 

of the blind man
with the clay,"
-John 9:6

Jesus provides a picture ... using His physical works ... to demonstrate God's method of healing ... spiritual blindness.

... He sends forth His own cellular structure/DNA? /Spirit from His mouth

... the place ... from which His Word ... was also sent forth in the beginning ... to create everything that exists.

Today cells from the saliva gland are being cultivated, ... surgically grafted to eyes ... successfully restoring physical sight to the blind.

Like the seed of the Word ... Jesus sends this precious thing ... Word ... spiritual DNA? ... Spirit into the ("good") ground ... receptive heart

... to incorporate Himself into the ground ... via Holy Spirit ... creating clay

... changing the ground ... heart into something He can mold according to His own intention.

To accomplish this spiritual miracle ... Jesus must first anoint ... apply the clay

... the substance that is intended to change the blind condition ... by applying it to the eyes.


Next step to complete healing:

Washing
... by the Water
    ... of the Word

"And
[Jesus] said unto him, 

Go, wash in the pool
of Siloam, 

(which is by
interpretation, Sent.) 

He went
his way therefore, 

and
washed, 

and
came seeing."
-John 9:7

Then Jesus instructs ... commands the blind man to go wash ... with water /Word of God ... in the pool of Siloam.

So the man washes his eyes with the water of the Word ... providing a picture of the power of the Word of God

... to cleanse ... and complete the healing process ... of the one being healed.

Eye = place created to receive the Light

...designed to transfer Truth ... Light ... Spirit ... of Jesus into the brain ... mind ... and from there ... into the heart.

The blind man is healed by combining the essence of who Jesus really is ... with the good ground ... He has already prepared ... created

... forming it into a new pliable substance ... a clay that can be applied to the eye to heal like medicine ... modern surgery.

Now the spiritually blind one ... can see the Light and Truth ... about good and evil.

The Final Step:
  
The man is now able to focus on his own need of the Savior.

**The darkness is fast approaching ... It is time to embrace the Truth and Light

... Jesus is the Truth ... the Way ... the Life ... and the Light. 

**To assure that your eternal life is secure

... and spiritual healing has been genuinely experienced through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
